Planned Outages

Be prepared for a planned outage

We need to plan power outages so that our crews can work safely on improving the distribution system. We understand that these can be inconvenient for you, so we do our best to let you know in advance of any planned outages.

Upcoming outages

Know what you need

We encourage everyone to be self-sufficient for 72 hours.  The Government of Canada's Get Prepared website has information on how you can stay ready for an outage, and what to keep handy in case you lose power for an extended period of time. 

November 5 (Granger Area): Customers in Granger (all), Wilson, Williams, Hayes, Tabor, Gillis, Salter, Turner, Thompson, Bowen, Elijah Smith School, and Big Way, your power will be off between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to accommodate maintenance on the electrical system.

November 5 & 6 (Watson Lake): Customers on Frances Avenue, Liard Avenue, Hyland Avenue, and North 7th Street, your power will be off from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Wednesday, November 5 and Thursday, November 6 to accommodate new construction on the electrical system.

November 7 (McClimon Crescent Area): Customers at 14–28 McClimon Cres (even), your power will be off between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to accommodate new construction on the electrical system.

November 7 (Teslin): Customers south of the Nisutlin Bridge to Morley Bay, your power will be off between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to accommodate infrastructure improvements on the electrical system.
